The Thirty Day Disney Challenge- Day Number Four

My Favorite Disney Prince

So this one was a hard one for me to pick. I feel like three of the Princes' I had to choose from where very similar: The Prince (Snow White), Prince Charming (Cinderella) and Prince Phillip (Sleeping Beauty). Then there is Prince Eric (Little Mermaid), who although he is a great guy, he falls for the more beautiful (and evil) Ursula. Then there is Prince Adam, also known as the Beast. I love him to death but I personally like the nice Prince Adam not the mean Prince Adam. Then there are 2 new Princes' including Prince Edward (Enchanted) and Prince Naveen (Princess and the Frog), both of which I like but am not all too impressed with. That leaves me with my favorite Prince: Prince Ali, also known as Aladdin.

Aladdin is not the stereotypical prince. I think a lot of real mean can relate to Aladdin. He grew up a poor boy, he can prove himself heroic and he has a genie! Who wouldn't want a genie? He may not be the strongest Prince but he has the biggest heart. The reason he is MY favorite is because he overcomes the most. He overcomes being a street rat, defeats Jafar, conquers over the 40 thieves and he gets the girl. That's a lot to do for one little guy, who married into being a Prince.

The Thirty Day Disney Challenge- Day Number Three

My Favorite Disney Heroine

My favorite Disney Heroine would have to be Meg from Disney's Hercules. At first she comes off as a "looks out for herself, strong-willed" type of girl... but like all girls she has a weak link. She is a monster butt-kicking kind of a girl with a take no prisoners attitude. She is constantly working between evil and good, but eventually good is the side she chooses. I think the reason I like her the most is because she has a real past that most people can relate too. She was hurt in her past and now she is guarded from ever being hurt again. I have had my share of bad friendships and relationship, so I always guard myself, and that is what makes me love Meg, that I can relate to her directly. The song she sings "Wont say I'm in Love" is one of my favorite songs and it could very easily be one of those songs I live my life by. Just kidding! She also falls for the strong, handsome, hero. (Which every girls wants, right?) But in the end, she is my favorite heroine because she gives up her life for the man she loves. What is more heroic than that? I wish I had some of Megs attributes.

The Thirty Day Disney Challenge- Day Number Two

My Favorite Disney Princess

Well I do believe that if I talk about my favorite Disney Princess I will be beating Belle into you. So although she is my absolute favorite Princess I will talk about my second favorite princess. My second favorite princess would have to be Rapunzel for Disney's new movie Tangled. I think she is one of the most funny princesses out there. Maybe I just really like the movie in general and that makes me love Rapunzel.

The whole movie is put together so well. It follow the classic Rapunzel story but it has some new things added, like the amazing Flynn Ryder (and his amazing smolder), the protective and hysterical Pascal (her pet chameleon), and the determined White Horse. Like I said before, I just LOVE this movie.

As for Rapunzel, she is one of my favorite princesses because she has a lot of the same qualities as Belle. Rapunzel feels like there is a better life out there, she has an imagination that reaches beyond her tower walls, she has a love for animals and is compassionate.

Overall, Tangled has a good story with a "laugh the whole time" attitude. I love the characters, I love the humor and I love the actors and actresses that bring Rapunzel and Flynn Ryder alive.

The Thirty Day Disney Challenge- Day Number One

My Favorite Disney Character

This is probably one of the easiest answers in the whole wide world. I am pretty sure if you know anything about me, you know my favorite character is Belle for Disney's Beauty and the Beast.

So there are a few reasons I love this girl. When I was little my father would take me to see all the new Disney movies, one of the first I can remember is Beauty and the Beast. Another reason is I feel like I relate to Belle. As I got older I never grew out of loving her. We have a lot in common: I love to read, I feel like I do not fit in sometimes, I have a big imagination and want the most from my life, I am not shy and will speak my mind, I am compassionate and always want an adventure. I also feel like we both understand that beauty is not always based on their looks but someone can have an amazing personality and that makes them beautiful too.

Belle is also the girl next door. She wasn't originally a princess but eventually became one. Now I have no doubt in my mind that I can be someones princess but for now I am just the girl who is funny and cute. Some day I will find a Beast and he will treat me like a princess.

The Beginning of a New Dream

Well hello there! Thanks for coming to my blogspot. This is going to be a blog dedicated to the Disney College Program. Currently I am a hopefully for the Fall Advantage 2011. The applications are suppose to be out around January 20th, 2011. That leaves us with 25 days left! As many of my Disney Family know, I am really excited to get the application process going. The sooner applications come out, the sooner I can do the online presentation (since Disney is too cool to come to Reno), the sooner I can do my interview and then (finally!) the sooner we can see if people are accepted or not! Oh and by the way, I am just as anxious for my Disney Family to make it as I am myself.

A little about myself:
Name: Jessica Nicole
Age:21
City: Reno, NV
School: University of Nevada, Reno
Major: Biology and Theatre
Program: Fall Advantage
Preferred Housing: Vista

So what do I want to do on the Disney College Program? Well my very first pick would be Character Performer. I will be attending auditions in San Fransisco, CA or in Seattle, WA. If I do not get character performer here are the other positions I have decided I will also apply for: Attractions, Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique Hostess, Character Attendant, PhotoPass Photographer, Costuming , Merchandise and maybe Recreation.

Honestly, I would prefer to be in the Entertainment part of the program, because that is what Disney is known for. But besides that I just want to do this for the experience. I want to get out of Reno. I want to visit Walt Disney World, because I have never been there. I also want to see if Disney could be a career for me. So all in all I am ready to go to Florida. I plan to be at the first available arrival date and I plan on taking my car with me. Hopefully this all works out.

Until next time we can only Dream,
